The three-dimensional mandala was developed some 2500 years ago as a means of creating symbolic shapes to aid concentration in Buddhist meditation. The mandala puzzle is traditionally used as a meditation tool for establishing sacred space and trance induction.

These are lovely and beautifully packaged, and were quickly shipped. I gave them to my granddaughters (ages 6 and 8) for Christmas, who admired the one I've had for years (different maker), and they have already bent a few wires. I recommend these enthusiastically, but only for kids who'll be gentle with them, or adults.
